Stack Extenders for ATSF Steam

Telescopic Stack
The telescopic stack had a stack which
extended into the smokebox and which could slide up as needed. There
were three different mechanisms used to raise and lower this style
of extender.
A. A scissors type extension
was seen on some, including the Blue Goose.

B. The
next two are closely related. They have four jointed arms which
push the stack upward. Type B seems shares a common mounting
pin on top of the stack.
