At Barstow in July 1947, 111 waits for an asignment at the engine terminal. Note the curved sides of the dynamic brakes which were unique to units originally numbered 104 through 117. The red separating stripe stops at the cab door indicating this unit was repainted by the Santa Fe since delivery. The fifth port hole on the first B-unit is also clearly visible. -John McCall Collection
